Select and run evidence checks
Connect a provider, select the correct evidence source and inspect fresh results without treating missing data as a pass.
Configure the source
- Connect the provider and define its complete production scope.
- Open the control and expand Evidence sources.
- As an admin, choose a supported source, explain the change and save it.
- Run a fresh check and inspect its result and retained snapshot.
One connection and one configured production scope are supported per provider. Selecting a source does not split one objective across several accounts.
Understand the result
A passing healthcheck confirms the connection; it does not complete the control's evidence requirements. Authentication errors, unavailable permissions and incomplete pagination cannot become passing evidence.
Supplemental sources are off until selected. Enabling one makes it required for the control. Disabling it does not remove manual evidence, approvals or history, and required sources cannot be disabled.
A source change excludes runs started before or at the change. Collect a new run after changing the provider scope.
Freshness
Supplemental automated evidence expires after one day. The configured scheduler collects supported checks; verify that scheduling is enabled in your installation. Use Run now when a fresh result is needed.
Use findings to track remediation and attach the operating evidence that the API cannot supply.
