1. The license grant
Marathon Digital Pte Ltd., Singapore, grants your purchasing organization a non-exclusive license to install and use the Sparta edition supplied to it for its own internal business operations. The license is subject to these terms and, for the paid edition, a valid purchase.
Your employees and contractors may use the installation on your behalf. You may give an auditor access to review your organization’s materials. You remain responsible for authorized users. Separate organizations require their own license, even if they share an owner.
2. Free and full editions
The free edition covers ISO 42001. The US$799 full edition covers ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type I and Type II, ISO 42001, GDPR and Singapore PDPA. The framework names describe the software’s supported workflows; they do not confer certification or an independent assurance opinion.
Both editions require your own Cloudflare account and are deployable only there. The software license does not include Cloudflare hosting, provider subscriptions or third-party professional services.
3. Internal copies and modifications
You may make the copies and backups needed for your organization’s permitted use. You may modify the software for your own internal requirements and operate those modifications for your organization.
You may publish your organization’s trust center and share its approved documents through the included sharing features. This does not authorize operating separate customer workspaces or reselling Sparta.
Keep copyright, attribution and third-party license notices in copies where applicable. You are responsible for testing, securing and maintaining your modifications; we do not promise compatibility or support for modified versions.
4. No resale or redistribution
You may not sell, resell, sublicense, distribute or transfer Sparta or a modified version to another organization without our written permission. Do not offer it as a hosted service for third parties or publish the software as your own product.
Internal modification rights do not transfer ownership of Sparta’s underlying intellectual property. This license grants no right to use Marathon, Sparta, framework or provider names and marks as your own, or to suggest endorsement.
Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses. Where a third-party license grants independent rights, this license does not take those rights away.
5. Continued use and optional renewal
The full edition is a one-off software purchase. Your right to use the version delivered to you does not expire merely because you choose not to renew for updates.
Yearly renewal for updates is optional. Any renewal offer will state its price and coverage before you choose it. We do not promise a particular future feature, release schedule or renewal price in this license. The free ISO 42001 edition remains subject to its own scope.
Continued use is conditional on compliance with this license. It is not a promise that Cloudflare or any connected service will remain available or keep its current terms or pricing.
6. Your evidence and data
Your organization retains its rights in its own policies, evidence, records and other content. You decide what to collect, who may access it and what to share from your installation.
You are responsible for privacy, security, retention and backups in your own Cloudflare account. The separate Privacy Notice covers Marathon’s website, purchase and setup records.
7. Breach and ending use
This license does not authorize use outside its stated scope. A material breach may result in termination of the affected license, subject to applicable law. If a license lawfully ends, stop the unauthorized use and remove copies you are no longer entitled to retain.
Declining an optional update renewal is not a breach and does not terminate the license to the version already delivered. Your rights in your own data are separate from software license rights.
8. Related terms and contact
The Terms of Service govern payment, the no-refunds policy, service limits and Singapore law. Nothing in this license excludes rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
